Design engineer and business builder, Terry Stelter joins Mazzetti as a Principal to lead the growth of our Life Sciences portfolio across all disciplines. He brings a breadth of industry facility type knowledge, including R&D laboratories, pilot plants, commercial manufacturing, vivaria, and supply chain facilities.

Meet Mazzetti’s newest Senior Project Manager, James Woods. James‘ experience includes project management, mechanical systems design, and energy and sustainability consulting. He specializes in the design of low impact buildings for a variety of market sectors including commercial, arts and culture, aviation, education, hospitality, and life sciences. Formerly at Glumac, James joins Mazzetti as an Associate Principal, located in Portland, OR, serving clients nationwide.

Mazzetti was recently recognized with Comparably’s Happiest Employees Award for Small/Medium-sized businesses. Comparably is a “workplace culture and corporate brand reputation” platform with over 15 million anonymous ratings on 70,000 companies. The platform uses anonymous employee responses to create its list of the organizations that have the happiest workers. The rankings used a year's worth of data in which employees from these companies rate their day-to-day happiness.

We are pleased to announce that Tuan Tran was recently promoted to Principal. Tuan has been an integral part of Mazzetti for over 14 years. A natural problem solver and skilled listener, Tuan leads Mazzetti’s MEP Oregon Team. Learn more about Tuan’s philosophy and his thoughts on the future of the industry.

Keisha Thomas, Ph.D., PE, Senior Electrical Engineer, was recently awarded a Women of Vision award from The Daily Journal of Commerce. The award was created to recognize women who have been trailblazers in industries within Oregon and SW Washington and women who have contributed to creating a path for other women to get involved in the industry.

At the beginning of August, our total of women at Mazzetti was 43.2%! We are steadily inching towards our goal of having equal numbers of men and women within the company and being the most women friendly engineering firm in the world. This month, we’re excited to put the W@M spotlight on the incredible female interns (some of which are now full-time hires!) that we’ve had working at Mazzetti this summer.

Asya Rayter is a Senior Mechanical Designer in Mazzetti’s San Francisco office and one of Mazzetti’s longest-tenured employees! She has helped design many of the San Francisco office’s significant projects including Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, San Francisco Chinese Hospital, and various Kaiser projects. With retirement in her near future, we spoke to Asya about her career and what Mazzetti means to her.

Troy Savage, Project Manager at Mazzetti, was recently named to the U40 List – AIA AAH List of Healthcare Design's Best Under 40. Each year up to two individuals are named to this list presented by the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health which acknowledges individuals making a significant contribution to the advancement of healthcare facilities design.

Vaibhav Srivastava is the new Director of for Mazzetti India in Bengaluru. With over 20 years of experience in MEP manufacturing through MEP design, his portfolio spans various markets in India and throughout the world. Vaibhav is looking forward to expanding Mazzetti’ s reach in India and Southeast Asian markets.

Meet Mazzetti’s newest Healthcare Mechanical Engineer, George Augustini. George is no stranger to the “Spirit of Mazzetti,” driving healthier, enduring environments through research, code reform, and innovative project design. He was recently named among ENR’s Mountain States Top Young Professionals (under 40). Formerly at SSR, George joins Mazzetti Denver as an Associate Principal, located in Denver, CO, serving Healthcare clients nationwide.

Meet Christina Vernon Sanborn, Mazzetti’s new Senior Decarbonization Specialist. An architect, Christina brings unique owner experience in the Healthcare and Education sectors, in facility planning, design, and operations. Her passion and expertise in sustainability coupled with her ability to drive positive change is an effective combo (and her track record vouches). Christina, though based in Cleveland, OH, will serve Mazzetti clients nationwide, helping yield positive climate-responsible solutions.
