Plug loads for large medical equipment, like those found in operating rooms and imaging departments, are significant on a per unit basis.But collectively, blanket warmers, patient monitors, coffee pots, printers, and computers—even water coolers—also use a tremendous amount of energy. Today, most every room in a healthcare facility is jammed full of equipment and devices, all plugged in, drawing various amounts of energy.
