Chief Technology Engineer Earns Certification from InfoComm International

Consulting and engineering design firm Mazzetti Nash Lipsey Burch (M+NLB) announced today that chief technology engineer Cliff West, RCDD has earned his Certified Technology Specialist (CTS®) certification from InfoComm International. The CTS® credential is granted to audiovisual professionals who have demonstrated extensive knowledge of the technology used in audio, video and display systems, and a competence, dedication and commitment to their profession. According to InfoComm, through achieving this credential, West has displayed the “self-confidence, professionalism and integrity needed to succeed in the field. CTS-holders are recognized as trusted providers of services to customers of AV technology.”

With over 15 years of experience in low voltage and technology infrastructure design, Cliff’s experience includes voice/data, audio-video, security, CATV, Nurse Call, Wide Area and Local Area Network design, as well as electronic medical records systems. Cliff has worked on over 150 projects in various markets, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, medical office buildings and data centers.
American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredits standards developers, certification bodies and technical advisory groups to both the ISO and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). InfoComm is the only organization within the audiovisual industry to earn ANSI accreditation for its personnel certification program, setting the industry standard for competency and quality in the AV industry. InfoComm has also received recognition from the National Certification Commission of the United States, the only AV-related certification program. Currently, more than 9,000 AV professionals are InfoComm certified.

InfoComm’s Certified Technology Specialist, Certified Technology Specialist –Design and Certified Technology Specialist – Installation are the only audiovisual certification programs accredited by the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) United States representative, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Accepted by the U.S. VeteransAdministration for reimbursement under the Montgomery G.I. Bill, InfoComm certification programs are designed to establish and maintain widespread credibility for the audiovisual industry and the professionals who perform the work.
