EXPERTISE

MEP Engineering

I am a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager with over eighteen years’ experience in system design and sustainability in healthcare, public sectors and utilities. My work focuses on leading mechanical and sustainability initiatives, delivering clear results, and mentoring teams toward low-carbon operations in healthcare markets, particularly in the Seattle region.

Before joining Mazzetti, I led all sustainability efforts at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I authored a ten-year Climate Action Plan with targets that included a fifty percent reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 aligned with the healthcare sector climate pledge, a net zero goal, a twenty percent energy reduction, and a fifty percent waste diversion goal. I aligned leaders across departments to integrate nearly forty KPIs across nine program areas into core operations while supporting planning for a future campus targeting LEED Gold. Additionally, I led a team to develop a multi-year portfolio of emissions and energy projects that delivered a sixteen percent reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 emissions to date, including an 86 percent cut in anesthesia emissions and a 25 percent reduction in fleet emissions. These efforts produced more than $1M in cost savings and helped the hospital meet WA state Clean Buildings requirements. The hospital earned recognition as a Top 25 Greenest Hospital in the United States for two consecutive years under my leadership.

I have served on policy committees for regional and national climate standards, and, coming directly from a hospital, served as Facilities Manager on Call to support patient care operations. I bring strong technical expertise, leadership in program delivery, and a results-driven approach to sustainability tailored with a deep understanding of hospital operations.

My Flipside

I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and our friends. I also enjoy taking my dog out for walks and getting out for runs of any length when I have a chance.

We try and get up to the mountains in the winter to ski/snowboard as much as possible and travel around school breaks.
