I hold a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder (1997) and a B.A. in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Colorado, Denver (2010). My dual academic background enables me to craft innovative lighting solutions that seamlessly integrate artistic expression, architectural integrity, and responsible energy usage.
Throughout my career, I have contributed to various market sectors, including Hospitality, Residential, Restaurants, Commercial Showrooms, Retail, Healthcare, Theater, Education, Religious Buildings, Landscape, and Roadway. My work ensures that each design complements the space while adhering to energy conservation standards and code requirements.
A memorable project that underscores my approach to thoughtful design is the illumination of the Cathedral of St. Joseph Bell Tower. Traditionally lit externally, the floodlights obscured the bell tower’s intricate midcentury art deco-inspired perforated limestone design, reducing its architectural charm to a monolithic mass. By reimagining the lighting strategy to reflect the interior illumination seen through the stained glass, I repositioned the floodlights within the bell tower. This decision transformed the tower into a luminous beacon, preserving its intricate facade and enhancing its role as a call to worship.
My approach to design stems from the fusion of my interior design and architectural engineering expertise. I strive for balance—harmonizing artistic expression with functional, energy-efficient solutions that complement architecture and meet compliance standards. This meticulous approach not only enhances a client’s space but also reflects my commitment to sustainability and innovation.

I enjoy gardening with water-conserving vegitation and combining large raised beds for ornamental plants mixed with edible plants.
I also enjoy providing the best life possible for my pets, which include farm poultry, bantam chickens, a royal palm turkey, an albino peacock, doves, a rabbit, a dog, and koi.
