EXPERTISE

Lighting Design

With a passion for understanding how light physically impacts both humans and animals, I specialize in designing spaces that enhance well-being while emphasizing energy conservation. My theatrical background allows me to approach lighting design with a creative eye, while my strong technical skills ensure precision in execution.

I am an active member of Women in Lighting Design (WILD) and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), where I continue to contribute to the evolving conversations around innovation in lighting. One of the most fulfilling projects I’ve worked on involved implementing turtle-safe lighting in Florida. This project deepened my interest in how light interacts with natural ecosystems, further inspiring my commitment to sustainable solutions.

Additionally, my graduate thesis explored how green light affects individuals with migraines, investigating practical therapeutic applications of wide-spectrum green light. This work reflects my dedication to integrating science-driven insights into my designs, providing real-world benefits to users and the environment.

I am committed to creating spaces that not only meet functional needs but also leave a meaningful impact on people and the planet.

My Flipside

When I’m not in the office, you’ll usually find me immersed in a creative project or exploring the outdoors with my fiancé and our dog. I have a passion for crafts and enjoy experimenting with a variety of mediums—whether it’s sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, making jewelry, painting, or even 3D printing.

I thrive on the challenge of trying new techniques and bringing ideas to life with my hands. Beyond crafting, I cherish long walks in the woods, soaking in nature and spending quality time with my loved ones.
