Tier III Data Center
Mazzetti provided engineering design services for a Tier III data center campus developed to support mission-critical operations with exceptional reliability, efficiency, and future growth. The initial 6 MW facility was designed with supporting infrastructure to accommodate a seamless future expansion to 12 MW, while a subsequent phase added a new 15 MW Tier III data center within an existing facility.
The design incorporates centralized cooling systems that deliver processed cooling water to data hall fan coil units, optimizing thermal performance and operational efficiency. Mechanical systems were engineered with N+1 redundancy and concurrent maintainability, ensuring continuous operation during maintenance activities and equipment outages. Electrical infrastructure includes dedicated substations supplying both normal and critical power systems, supported by robust backup power solutions. Across project phases, critical power resilience was achieved through diesel rotary UPS systems and onsite fuel cell technologies.
Designed to meet rigorous uptime requirements while reducing environmental impact, the facilities were developed with a goal of achieving LEED Gold certification, balancing operational resilience, energy efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
