Senior Associate, Mechanical Engineer

I am an experienced lead mechanical and plumbing engineer for the design of higher education, K-12, hospitals, labs, and office building projects. Along with my technical capabilities, I bring strong communication skills to the project team, a focus on sustainable design, and a proactive approach to solving design challenges.

Mazzetti is the right place for me, and I enjoy my colleagues and clients.

My notable projects include the Santiam Memorial Hospital expansion in Salem, Oregon; the LEED® v2.2 Silver expansion and renovation master plan of the Maryhill Museum in Goldendale, Washington; and the Kaiser Permanente Hospital addition in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Flip Side

In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my wife and daughter; we love hiking, fishing, and camping. The photos here show my family hiking through a coastal Oregon forest; my best fishing partner, man’s best friend; and my Steelhead caught from the Deschutes River when it was around 20 degrees out. I also ski, rock climb, and play a lot of golf.

My hometown is Burlingame, California, a suburb 20 miles south of San Francisco. I have spent my whole life living and working between the Portland area and the Bay Area.

My engineering career has been working out of Mazzetti’s Portland office, but I have worked on projects all over the United States.

Why the AEC industry? As a mechanical contractor in a prior life, I was injured badly on a job. Though I almost lost four fingers, the accident ended up being the best thing to happen to me as I returned to school for my engineering degree. Mazzetti is the right place for me, and I enjoy my colleagues and clients.
