A practicing professional engineer with more than 30 years’ experience, my work focuses on project management, energy analysis, controls and automation design, and critical facilities commissioning and validation. As a LEED Accredited Professional, and with a passion for sustainable design, I am actively involved in establishing energy usage models for projects that are registered for LEED certification. I began my career at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in the Division of Energy as the manager of state energy grant programs, and joined William Tao and Associates in 1987, where I gained experience in project management, energy analysis, controls and automation design, and critical facilities commissioning and validation. I’ve managed many of WTA’s master planning and high-tech projects, and am responsible for establishing design criteria, systems selection, utility requirements, design implementation, and commissioning. I also manage laboratory projects for research clients including Washington University School of Medicine and Pfizer, as well as the WTA commissioning team.
