Kelly McDaniel

Technology Internal Information Consultant

I have over 25 years of experience in medical equipment planning. Having started on the clinical side, I have a unique perspective into what clinicians face daily as they go to work to care for ailing patients (our friends and family members).

My approach to planning and database maintenance is to provide information of the quality that I would want used to design/construct a facility in which I or my family member may be a patient one day.

My very favorite part of planning is research. I was fortunate enough to take on the role of maintaining the database of medical technology used in our healthcare planning projects. Having been a medical equipment planner previously, I know what information is needed and can anticipate design team questions. I enjoy helping our team solve issues related to medical equipment in their projects.

My career at Mazzetti+GBA has put me in the unique position to be able to build strong relationships with our medical equipment vendors. I have been able to influence the information we see on their technical specifications documentation so the information engineers need to design is readily available.

My Flipside

I am passionate about reading. I volunteer through our local United Way’s “Read.Learn.Succeed” program. Studies show children who haven’t learned to read by fourth grade are more likely to drop out of high school and serve prison time. I read to second and third grade students one-on-one each week.

I am an avid gardener and enjoy the temperate climate northeast Louisiana offers (Yes, I work remotely!). My favorites are herbs, vegetables, and fruits (including my Meyer lemon trees and the fig tree I share with my neighbor).
