Jeremy Galvin, PE

Senior Associate, Electrical Engineer

My general objective is to make everyone else’s job easier. I intentionally seek to not only understand the complex technical elements and express them simply (and clearly), but also understand the people (project team partners, stakeholders, etc.) and build trust. A healthy project team yields endless potential!

For over a decade, I’ve been designing electrical systems on a myriad of projects including medium and low voltage power systems, grounding and lightning protection, lighting, standby generation and UPS systems, and more recently photovoltaic, energy storage, and microgrid systems. I also have project management experience in traditional and integrated delivery methods.

I love the combination of technical, organizational, social, and political challenges that projects (often) present. No project is ever the same. In any given problem-solving session, everyone has their own unique background, expertise, and priorities. I enjoy this process of working towards the solution, ultimately helping people, and making the world a little bit better.

My Flipside

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and 4- and 10-year-old daughters. I enjoy being outdoors, bike rides with the family, making music (I sing and play guitar and piano), and playing video games and board games with friends.

Growing up in a small, rural Oregon town gave me a value for community and nature. It granted me perspective on how industry, culture, and politics flow between rural and urban areas. It also emphasized the impact that large scale decisions can have on individuals and families, which I try to keep in mind and apply to our projects.
