Associate, Director of VDC

Our clients seek a coordinated solution for MEP systems—I love that I can directly impact this coordination through BIM solutions. Historically this has required significant time and effort on a project; however, now, we can show clients how BIM streamlines this coordination.

In this role, I’ve discovered a personal passion for teaching and process improvement. I really enjoy working with our engineers and designers to enhance BIM and VDC capabilities. Together, we identify and implement enhanced VDC workflows, yielding greater efficiencies. Seeing the positive impact of these efforts, and ultimately how our clients benefit, is super rewarding.

The first (and quite impressive) project I had the opportunity to enhance was the Ford Innovation Center, working with our San Francisco office. 100% of the design and production was executed  through Revit. We implemented a relatively new VDC workflow, proving significant time savings for both our engineers and the overall project. And, since, we’ve been able to replicate the workflow (and time savings) on subsequent projects. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

My Flipside

I’m originally from Taiwan. From an early age, I was immersed in a highly sustainable culture and way of life. Fun fact: In 2019, Taiwan achieved one of the highest recycling rates in the world. Working for a firm that shares a similar commitment to sustainability is a high priority for me.

In my spare time, I love playing pool! I actually won several championships in high school. Today, I admit, I enjoy being a bit of a “pool shark”… Something about my stature and demeanor, perhaps, seems to add to my “unassuming” pool status. I love it!
