Mazzetti Opens Denver Office
Oct 10, 2008
New office will leverage new business opportunities and expand client service
San Francisco, CA, October 10, 2009—Company President Walt Vernon announced today that West Coast-based Mazzetti & Associates, one of the premier West Coast engineering and climate change consulting firms, has opened a Denver office to expand its capabilities and serve the entire Western US. “New business opportunities, a need for more high-quality engineers, and the potential to better serve new and existing clients are pushing our expansion into Colorado,” said Vernon.
Phil Gioia, Associate Principal, will oversee the new Denver operations. Electrical engineer Russell Strickler, who recently relocated from Mazzetti’s Irvine, California office, joins Phil. Mazzetti Denver is located in the historic Symes Building on the 16th Street Mall in the Central Business District.
“I am excited to extend Mazzetti’s culture and expertise to the Denver market. All four of our offices work very collaboratively and are able to share knowledge and production,” said Gioia. “Our current involvement and experience in emerging trends, such as the integrated project delivery method and LEAN construction, offers a great advantage to our clients.”
“Phil joined us when we acquired the CBG office in Portland,” said Vernon, “and has been one of the bright stars of the organization ever since. He routinely exceeds client expectations on complex projects and will be a strong asset for business development in the Denver market,” he noted.
The firm has deep health care experience, as well as specialties in the design and construction of data centers and labs. The Denver office will also be able to offer a full range of client services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology engineering planning, design, commissioning, and consulting. In addition, Mazzetti is growing the climate change consulting service to help clients who are increasingly grappling with various regulations and regulatory opportunities.
