M+NLB is the LEED Commissioning Authority for the MEP systems in three new campus buildings. The buildings include the $30M, 89,000sf Science and Math Building, the $18.8M, 84,400sf Student Services and Administration Building, and the $11.98M, 48,000sf Classroom Building. Commissioning services center on preparation and implementation of a comprehensive commissioning plan spanning the entire program schedule. Major commissioning components include review of design and construction documents to ensure LEED 2.1 commissioning compliance. M+NLB is responsible for day-to-day management of the commissioning process, from meeting orchestration to development, scheduling and witnessing of the performance testing and verification of specified systems that extend into alternate-season verifications, where applicable. Services also include coordination with the college, vendors, and contractors to schedule and document a comprehensive training program for the college’s operations personnel. The college is pursuing a LEED Platinum Certification. M+NLB will provide fundamental and enhanced commissioning, as defined in the applicable LEED requirements. These systems have not yet been commissioned but will include: All energy consuming systems and domestic water systems: HVAC, plumbing, lighting, power, alternate energy, control systems.
