Modesto Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of Sutter Health, is utilizing M+NLB’s Technology Group to design an IT and low-voltage infrastructure for a new, 150,000sf patient tower, as well as over 57,000sf of renovations. Scope covers the SD, DD, CD, OSHPD review, and CA phases of the project, including a comprehensive plan (with impact analysis) for demolition, cutover strategy, and cutover sequencing required for maintenance of current network connections and voice/data services. Through a phased workplan, the M+NLB is identifying low-voltage systems, determining how to maintain functionality during and after the renovation process, proposing new routes for backbone cabling when necessary for construction phasing, recommending any temporary system relocations, and designing the strategy for cabling and deploying active telecommunications devices to support new spaces. Systems included in planning are voice/data, wireless access, paging, security and access control system, nurse call, code blue, intercom, CATV, a clock system, and refrigerator monitoring (via the BMS). M+NLB is also doing the electrical design for this project.
