M+NLB as prime consultant is providing architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural design services for this new 25,000sf cogeneration plant. The new plant will have capacity for the North Expansion, the existing hospital and the future West Expansion slated for completion in 2012. The project involves the replacement of the existing 1,750 kW cogen plant and 900-ton chiller plant, with new 3.5 MW cogeneration units and 1,200-ton chiller plant. In addition, the building will house the new hospital central plant with absorption chillers to capture waste heat from the cogeneration turbines.
