This three-story, 50,000sf classroom and faculty office building was originally known as the Social Sciences Building. Mazzetti Nash Lipsey Burch incorporated sustainable design features into the building systems, including a raised-floor displacement ventilation system, low-static pressure fans, CO2 monitoring, waterconserving plumbing fixtures, energy monitoring and verification via an automated energy management system, high-efficiency indirect/direct lighting, which included daylighting with automatically dimming light fixtures, and occupancy sensor lighting control.
