Mazzetti Nash Lipsey Burch (M+NLB) analyzed the 2.8Msf master plan for the 58-acre major downtown revitalization of the medical campus to explore energy generation and procurement strategies and incorporate financing mechanisms. M+NLB developed future energy scenarios, provided financial analysis, and engineering assessments.
Phase I of the master plan consisted of a 300,000sf trauma, intensive care, diagnostic and treatment center, 40,000sf utility and services building, as well as campus utilities infrastructure. Phase II consisted of the development of additional buildings, including an 80,000sf ambulatory care center, child care center, an 80,000sf fitness center, a behavioral health hospital, a research center for UCSF Fresno, a replacement hospital, and a parking garage structure. We also provided preliminary design and performance specifications for the central plant project.
As the Commissioning Authority for the central plant, M+NLB was responsible for commissioning specifications, functional and systems integration tests, and system troubleshooting.
