North Carolina Specialty Hospital Replacement Facility, Durham, NC

Mazzetti Nash Lipsey Burch (M+NLB) provided the MEPT systems design for this 46,000sf replacement facility. The new freestanding facility offers both inpatient and outpatient services. Coordination of medical equipment with low-voltage cabling and technology systems is essential to a successfully completed project, and as such M+NLB planned for current and future operations by designing the voice/data infrastructure to accommodate both existing and future applications. Additionally, the Communications Room for both floors is centrally located on the first floor, allowing for ease of management by the on-site IT personnel.
As part of the project team, M+NLB designed the nurse call, voice/data, security, as well as other low-voltage and infrastructure systems for the facility. M+NLB provided needs assessment, design including construction documents, procurement assistance, and construction administration.
