M+NLB is providing medical equipment planning services for this new full service, 720,000sf, fifteen-story hospital consisting of 102-beds, 4 Operating Rooms, 1 Procedure Room and Imaging Rooms. This facility allows for convenient, comprehensive care for mothers and their babies all in one single facility. Areas of expertise include: reproductive endocrinology, infertility, fetal surgery, fetal cardiology and neonatology. Once fully operational, Texas Children’s Maternity Center will care for both normal and high-risk deliveries. Pediatric intensive care units in the new center will provide seamless care of mother and newborn. Care of mothers and infants requiring a pediatric specialist can then be coordinated under the auspices of one institution—Texas Children’s Hospital.
