Mazzetti Nash Lipsey Burch (M+NLB) provided MEPT services for the four-story, $35M Patient Care Tower on the north side of the campus and associated renovations, including the addition of a cardiovascular operating room, orthopedic surgical suite with four operating rooms, and a 12-bed labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum suite; relocation of central sterile; a radiology expansion; and a new 18-bed post-anesthesia care unit as well as a 15-bed pre-op/recovery unit. M+NLB also provided MEPT services for the parking garage, as well as the ambulatory surgery center in the new medical office building.
The seven-level, 663-space parking garage with helipad joins the building addition and the adjacent medical office building via sky bridges.The work included partial relocation of an operating data center, as well as extensive rerouting of medium-voltage electrical feeders from the path of construction. Infrastructure work included the addition of two generators and expansion of the facility’s paralleling gear, addition of a chiller, replacement of existing cooling towers, a complete reconfiguration of the chilled water and condenser water system in the central plant, and replacement of two major low-voltage building services.
