Solar Feasibility Studies
Before performing an analysis of the facility’s resource-consumption trends, we first assess the available solar resources and all existing MEP infrastructure. We then follow with recommendations for the solar systems and provide a comprehensive report detailing solar energy system implications, recommendations, system performance analysis, and economic analysis of various purchasing methods, incentives, and rebates.
What is involved?
Site Surveying – Assessing the available solar resource based on facility orientation, layout, locale, shading, and historical weather patterns is an integral first step in any Solar Feasibility Study. BLUE surveys the existing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure to identify system level synergies.
Information Acquisition – Once approved for solar technology implementation, BLUE will perform an in-depth analysis of the facility’s utility usage characteristics and follow up with recommendations for solar systems to match the load and calculations to establish actual and predicted energy costs – instrumental in determining the economic benefits of a proposed solar system.
Documentation and Analysis – BLUE will deliver a report that details the implications of solar energy systems. We proceed to document our findings, recommend solar system type(s), and provide projected system performance analysis, in addition to an economic analysis of various purchasing methods using applicable incentives.
Conclusion – Once the study and report are complete, the owner will be fully equipped to engage a solar vendor or to publish a related RFP.
