AutoCAD Tips & Tools

I often have a specific block (for example an equipment callout tag) that I need to insert several times on a single drawing, but it’s not always convenient to insert them all at once with the copy command. And to avoid having to mouse over to the tool palette or our custom menus all the time, I’ll copy that block in to the clipboard with CTRL+C. That way, any time I need to insert that block again, I simply use CTRL+V to paste it again. You can also use CTRL+SHIFT+C to pick a specific insertion point if necessary. If you are using this with a block, I’d recommend not using the CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste it because that will create a block nested in another block.
