M+NLB has a strong commitment to internal sustainability at both the corporate and local level. At the corporate level, we engage in the following activates.
• Ability to buy public transit passes (commuter checks) with pre-tax dollars.
• Ability to work a compressed work week schedule.
• Marketing and corporate logoed materials printed on paper with a high recycled content.
• Carshare memberships are provided as needed through ZipCar or equivalent.
• All new computers and kitchen equipment to be Energy Star certified.
• Annual corporate GHG inventory is completed.
• Carbon offsets are purchased annual to offset emissions in GHG inventory.
• Carbon offsets are purchased for the annual golf tournament to make this event carbon neutral.
• Virtual forms of communication (videoconferencing and teleconferencing) to reduce travel emissions.
Each M+NLB office engages in office-specific sustainable practices, such as purchasing and light fixture types. Each office will be profiled in an upcoming post.
